Old Look is the New Look for Ketteringham Hall

//Old Look is the New Look for Ketteringham Hall

After months of painstaking and enthusiastic work in the grounds of Ketteringham Hall the fruits of this labour are beginning to show and they are being transformed back to their former glory.

The Lake has been dredged and cleared resulting in the island now being visible with the quaint timber bridge emerging after years of being hidden by reeds.

The picture was taken early one morning in March after the lake had just refilled

Old follies (definition…a costly ornamental building with no practical purpose, especially a tower or mock-Gothic ruin built in a large garden or park) are being restored and brought back to life and the “Ha-Ha” (a sunken dry ditch with a brick wall to stop livestock straying whilst still maintain a view) has now been rebuilt where partially collapsed.
